ABOUT THE MAKER

Stephen Moellering’s beautifully-crafted planters are all hand-thrown and glazed in his Portland, Oregon studio. The quality of Moellering’s craft is informed by over forty years of experience within the pottery production world, which is clearly exemplified by the quality of his handiwork and the consistency of his products.  Each glaze color and planter style is completely organic and naturally varied, while maintaining uniformity.

According to Moellering, “Not overproducing helps me keep my product unique and ‘rare,’ and not having a website helps me control my growth.” Limiting his output ensures that he is able to uphold his high standards, and results in an impeccable and timeless product.
