ABOUT THE MAKER
Oakland local Natalie Cassidy has been creating out of the Bay Area since 2016, but her studies in the subject have been lifelong. Cassidy moved to the Bay Area in 2016 from New York City, where she was a student at NYU and interned at Greenwich House Pottery, a philanthropic nonprofit that provides resources to the community and education in the arts.
As both a graphic designer and ceramicist, Cassidy seeks to “[explore] depth and contrasting texture in relation to natural clay bodies”. Cassidy’s main goal is to create items that are both functional and decorative, placing her central focus on goods for home and garden, such as planters, vases, and serveware.
As co-founder of Oakland’s Campbell Street Studios , established in 2020, Natalie Cassidy has helped foster a creative hub for local independent ceramicists to hone their craft and build community.
