A rare plant lover’s delight! This fuzzy little friend is a type of Philodendron Nangaritense. Native to Ecuador, this highly tropical aroid is characterized by its peculiar hairy petioles that give it its namesake, as well as te viridescent sheen of its soft, velvety leaves. As the plant matures, the plant's fuzzy stems will grow in prominence and develop a reddish hue.

Truly a pet amongst plants!

Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for your Philodendron. They enjoy a good deal of ambient sun, but do not favor direct light. Direct, bright sun will cause sunburn, fading, and wilting of its leaves and stems.

Water: These plants prefer for their soil to stay slightly moist, but never soggy. Plant in a well-draining potting mix and allow the soil to dry at least halfway down in the pot between waterings to avoid oversaturation.

Humidity: High humidity is best for this Philodendron variety. We suggest adding a humidifier or a pebble tray to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.

Poisonous to pets if ingested.

Photographs are representative of the species and not always the specific plant shipped. Normal variations in size, pruning and leaf structure may occur.
