These are some of the coolest looking Calathea, in our opinion! They have light and dark green cross hatching all over the leaves, giving them a mosaic like look. They are native to Brazil, which means they are accustomed to a warm, wet and humid environment. Like all other Calathea, these require a consistently moist soil.
Light: Since their natural environment is on the forest floor, they are used to receiving dappled light, so medium to bright indirect light is great. As usual, direct sunlight can scorch, so avoid putting in front of a bright window.
Water: Calathea thrive in a moist soil with adequate drainage. These will do best with a good deal of humidity, so misting is definitely encouraged!
Non-toxic to people and pets.
