The rubbery, reptilian foliage of the Alocasia Melo could easily be mistaken as fake at first glance. This hard-to-find member of the Jewel Alocasia family inspires a child-like fascination in planter lovers young and old due to their fascinating, moody leaves, and their compact growth makes them a perfect tabletop centerpiece.
Light: Like other Alocasia, the Melo thrive in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, as the intense rays can burn their tender leaves. Burning and curling of the leaves is a possible sign that your plant is getting too much direct sun.Water: Alocasia Melo enjoy evenly moist, but never soggy soil. Water once the soil dries about one to two inches down in the soil.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this variety. We recommend adding a humidifier to your plant care routine or placing on a pebble tray to help provide humidity if your space is dry.
This plant is poisonous to pets if ingested.
