Rachel Pozivenec is a native of the Bay Area, currently living in Oakland. She casts faces from porcelain slip to give plants esoteric homes for our strange, sometimes the magic-deprived world. Her work focuses on creating work that visually examines the self, nature, and ultimately a meditation on feeling othered due to the nature of complex identity and a deep desire to understand our existence to counteract a sense of futility in the world.
