Also known as Alocasia Xanthosoma Variegata, the Alocasia Mickey Mouse is a rare plant with large, lobed leaves and streaks of variegation, tending to resemble Mickey Mouse.
Light: Alocasia require plenty of bright, indirect light, but you want to avoid direct sun, which scorches the leaves. Rotate the pot weekly to encourage even growth.
Water: To keep the prized foliage of your Alocasia Mickey Mouse looking verdant and healthy, it will need regular and thorough watering. These plants don't like being waterlogged, so allow the top 50% of the soil to dry out between waterings, especially if the weather isn't too warm. The key is consistently moist but not wet conditions to avoid root rot.
Humidity: Native to tropical regions, Alocasia love humidity. We recommend adding a humidifier if your home is dry, or keeping in a glass case, cloche, or terrarium for optimal growth.
These plants are not pet-friendly if ingested.
