Ctenanthe - Pilosa "Golden Mosaic"

This version of Ctenanthe, known as 'Golden Mosaic', is closely related to Maranta, Calathea, and Stromanthe, and is primarily recognized as a prayer plant due to its unique ability to close its leaves at night. It features gracefully elongated, upright leaves that grow in a clustered formation on slender, bamboo-like stems. The variegation of this plant is exquisite, with charmingly uneven streaks of yellow decorating its vibrant green foliage.

Light:  Ctenanthes like bright indirect light. If there is insufficient light, new leaves appear solid green rather than patterned with attractive colors. If there is too much light, the colors in the leaves fade.

Water: Make sure to keep your plant evenly moist, but not soggy or overwatered. Yellowing of the leaves and stems is a good indicator to pull back on your watering schedule, while curling of the leaves is an indication that your Calathea might need a more frequent drink. 

Humidity: Native to the rainforests of Brazil, these plants like a warm, humid environment. We recommend adding a humidifier to your daily plant routine.
