Ficus Deltoidea, commonly known as mistletoe fig, is an epiphyte that is native to Southeast Asia. It is often kept as a potted ornamental due to its striking appearance and varying leaf shapes, from triangular to ovate to lance-shaped. It used to be referred to as Ficus diversifolia due to this feature. The plant produces small, non-edible figs throughout the year, which turn red before falling off.

Light: Ficus prefer bright indirect light. This plant will not do well in low light conditions. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to prevent dust accumulation and help your plant photosynthesize efficiently. Ficus should not be placed in a drafty space or conditions with dramatic temperature changes in order to prevent defoliation.

Water: This plant does not like to sit in soggy soil, and over-watering is one of the most common reasons for leaf loss and yellowing. Water only when the plant is dry at least halfway down in its container.

Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this Ficus variety. We recommend running a humidifier if your space is especially dry.

Poisonous to pets if ingested.
