Love a Ficus, but nervous about adopting one of the more finicky members of this family? The Ficus Moclame just might be the perfect fit for you! This hardy Ficus variety, often grown outdoors in hedges and landscaping, is a sturdy, low-maintenance tree that benefits from a bright spot and relative neglect! We love its thick, shiny leaves and the ornate braid of its stump!

Light: Ficus prefer bright indirect light. This plant will not do well in low light conditions. Wipe the leaves occasionally with a damp cloth to prevent dust accumulation and help your plant photosynthesize efficiently. Ficus should not be placed in a drafty space or conditions with dramatic temperature changes in order to prevent defoliation.

Water: This plant does not like to sit in soggy soil, and over-watering is one of the most common reasons for leaf loss and yellowing. Water only when the plant is dry at least halfway down in its container. 

Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this Ficus variety. We recommend running a humidifier if your space is especially dry.
