Large - Pilea - Peperomioides

Pilea Peperomioides are known for their unusual shape, with their round pancake leaves reaching outward in a spherical growth pattern. This plant is also called a "Friendship Plant," because when properly cared for, these fast growers will produce new pups around their base that you can propagate and share!

Light: This plant prefers bright indirect light, but keep it out of direct light, as its tender leaves will burn. A north-facing window will offer ideal lighting conditions. Another important consideration is that the beautiful spherical shape of this plant is easily distorted when it reaches for the light. To avoid this, be sure to rotate your plant with each watering, and keep it out of low light conditions. 

Water: Pileas like to dry out a bit between waterings, so give your plant a drink once the soil is dry about an inch or two below the surface. These plants are very communicative, so if you notice the leaves are drooping slightly, it is probably time for watering.
