The Aeonium Arboreum Schwarzkopf or 'Black Rose Succulent' is a stunning variety native to Spain's coastal regions. This shrub-form succulent commands attention with dramatic dark purple rosettes that deepen to nearly black in direct sunlight—perfect for adding gothic elegance to any collection. As it matures, it develops 3-4-foot stems branching at the base, each crowned with show-stopping foliage that shifts between deep purple and lighter violet with green centers depending on light conditions. A statement plant that transforms spaces with its architectural presence and moody allure.
Light: Bright direct light is best for the Aeonium, they thrive in full sun to part-shade. If grown indoors, place by a bright window. It can be grown outdoors in frost-free climates and a hardiness zone of 9 to 12.
Water: Make sure your plant is in a very well draining soil. Allow your plant to dry out completely in between watering. These do best with under-watering rather than over-watering.
