Light: Alocasia do best in bright indirect light, especially the jewel varieties like the Scalprum. Avoid direct light as these can easily become damaged and burned.
Water: Alocasia prefer a well draining soil and while they do not like to fully dry out, they do very poorly if they are excessively wet. Do not allow the plant to sit in water for a prolonged period.
If ingested, poisonous to people and pets.
