The aptly named Zebra Plant has earned its name. Its glossy dark green foliage, that looks almost black in a specific light, is accented with white bands that resemble the stripes of a Zebra. These plants are native to the rainforests of Brazil, and therefore are accustomed to a highly humid and warm environment. We recommend introducing a humidifier to your plant care routine.
Light: Bright indirect light is optimal for your Aphelandra, taking care to avoid direct light.
Water: For best results, maintain an evenly moist, but never soggy soil. Avoid standing water at the bottom of the roots to ensure healthy root growth.
Humidity: Moderate to high humidity is best for this variety. We suggest running a humidifier if your space is dry.
