The Begonia Maculata "Polka Dot" is a standout tropical addition to any plant collection thanks to their show-stopping foliage and relatively easy care. Native to Brazil, the Maculata's irresistible spots and pop of red on the underside of her leaves lend a pleasing burst of color, while her quick growth and versatile pruning allow for her to take many shapes within the home. Provide the Maculata with bright, filtered sun and adequate humidity, and you will be rewarded with delicate, seasonal blooms.

Light: Provide your Begonia maculata with bright, indirect light for optimal growth. Avoid placing in direct sunlight to prevent leaf discoloration and sunburn. Paling of the leaves can be an indication of too much direct sun, while yellowing and leaf shedding is a good indication that your Begonia is in need of more bright, filtered sun.

Water: Begonias prefer to remain consistently moist, but never wet or soggy. When thirsty, the Maculata will pale in color and go limp at the stems, but rest assured - a good drink will quickly pop her back upright.

Humidity: We recommend adding a humidifier to your plant care routine to help provide humidity if your space is dry. While Begonias require a good humidity boost, make sure to avoid keeping their leaves consistently wet.
