The Cryptanthus Absolute Zero is a beautiful Earth Star Bromeliad, which are a group of terrestrial bromeliads. These plants grow slowly, but at maturity can reach around 6-15 inches. These plants grow in a rosette shape, staying rather compact, but bringing a big impact to any space with its contrasting stripes and architectural shape.
Light: These plants thrive in bright indirect light, but avoid direct sun, as the intense rays can cause bleaching.
Water: These plants enjoy evenly moist soil, but do not like to be soggy. Water once the soil is dry about one to two inches down in its container. Unlike typical bromeliads, avoid pouring water directly into the center of the rosette as this can easily cause rotting of the crown and roots.
Humidity: These plants come from a tropical climate and appreciate any additional humidity you can offer.
This plant is non-toxic to pets!
