Philodendron Erubescens Red Emerald, or “The Blushing Philodendron” is an exotic philodendron variety that grows to both cascade and vine upward as it matures, thanks to its prolific aerial root growth. Native to the lush rainforests of Costa Rica and Columbia, the Red Emerald is noted for its deep burgundy stems and deep green leaves. This rarer houseplant variety is remarkably easy to care for, making it a perfect addition to any home.

Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for your Philodendron. They enjoy a good deal of ambient sun, but do not favor direct light. Bright, direct sun may result in leaf discoloration and sunburn.

Water: These plants prefer for their soil to stay slightly moist, but never soggy. Plant in a well-draining potting mix and allow the soil to dry at least halfway down in the pot between waterings to avoid over-saturation.

Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for Philodendron growth. We suggest adding a humidifier to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.
