The highly coveted Philodendron “Silver Sword” is one of the sassier members of the Philodendron Family. Native to the rainforests of Brazil, this silvery, climbing aroid is noted for its long, sword-like leaves that seem to glisten when held up to the sun. The addition of a moss pole will provide stability as the plant matures, and will encourage larger, lobed leaf growth. Proper humidity and regular, dappled sun can yield growth to up to three feet tall when grown indoors.
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for your Philodendron. They enjoy a good deal of ambient sun, but do not favor direct light. Bright, direct sun may result in leaf discoloration and wilting.
Water: These plants prefer for their soil to stay slightly moist, but never soggy. Plant in a well-draining potting mix and allow the soil to dry at least 1”-2” down between waterings to avoid over-saturation.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for Philodendron growth. We suggest adding a humidifier to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.
Poisonous to pets if ingested.
