Philodendron mexicanum is a popular and rare plant that hails from Mexico and Central America. Its distinct, elongated leaves can reach up to 3 feet in length and have a glossy green color with a distinctive texture, making it a standout addition to any indoor space.
Light: Bright, indirect sunlight is ideal for your Philodendron. They enjoy a good deal of ambient sun, but do not favor direct light. Consistent bright sun may result in greater variegation, while low light may cause the plant's variegation to revert.
Water: These plants prefer for their soil to stay slightly moist, but never soggy. Plant in a well-draining potting mix and allow the soil to dry at least halfway down in the pot between waterings to avoid over-saturation.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for Philodendron growth. We suggest adding a humidifier to your plant care routine if the air in your space is dry.
