These rare philodendrons are known for their velvety emerald green leaves and iridescent color that show hues of deep purple, turquoise and even bronze in the right light. Their leaves vine vigorously, making them ideal plants for hanging or allowing to cascade downward from a high shelf. Like most philodendrons, Micans are fairly easy to care for and propagate, meaning you can expand your own rare plant collection and share it with friends!
Light: This plant prefers bright indirect light, but avoid direct light, as the intense rays will burn its tender leaves. Although it can adapt to a lower light environment, note that less light will impact the fullness and speed at which it grows.
Water: Soil should be kept evenly moist, but never soggy. Water once the soil dries about two inches down in the pot. This plant favors a well-draining potting mixture. Yellowing leaves and mushy stems may indicate that your plant is being watered too frequently, while limp leaves are a good sign that your plant needs a drink.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this variety. We recommend adding a humidifier to your plant care routine for maximum plant happiness.
This plant is poisonous to pets if ingested.
