The Philodendron Tortum, also known as the fern-leaf philodendron, features narrow, skeleton-like leaves that set it apart from other Philodendron varieties. The Tortum has an exotic, dramatic foliage that is perfect for anyone looking to add a unique, eye-catching plant to their collection.
Native to the tropical rainforests of Northern Brazil and Bolivia, this rare variety thrives in humid environments and grows rapidly in the right conditions. Similar to other philodendrons, this is a climbing plant and will produce larger leaves if given a support pole to climb.
Light: This plant prefers bright indirect light, but avoid direct sun, as hot rays have the potential to burn its leaves.
Water: Philodendron Tortum prefers moist, but well draining soil, so water this friend once the soil is dry about two inches down in its container. Pot in a chunky, well draining potting mix.
If ingested, poisonous to people and pets.
