Tradescantia albiflora “Nanouk” has become quite a trendy “Wandering Dude” in recent years, and it is no question why! Nanouk are grown specifically for their hardiness and bright, showy foliage, not to mention their attractive seasonal blooms. The obovate leaves of the Nanouk are defined by their stark variegation and hints of pink, purple and deep green, shadowed by their bright purple undersides. Provide your Nanouk with adequate bright, filtered sun to encourage extra pops of purple and more defined variegation!
Light: Provide your Tradescantia with bright, indirect light for optimal growth and coloration. Avoid placing in direct sunlight to prevent leaf discoloration and sunburn.
Water: Tradescantia prefer to have their soil stay evenly moist, but never soggy. You can allow them to dry two inches to halfway down in the pot before watering. Avoid overwatering and plant in a well-draining potting mix to prevent root damage and mushy stems.
Humidity: Moderate humidity is best for this variety. We recommend adding a humidifier to your plant care routine or placing on a pebble tray to help provide humidity if your space is dry.
Poisonous to pets if ingested.
